Never Give Up

Due to the economic crisis, ultimately the gallery is downsizing now. Firstly in Seoul, now it is the turn for doART Beijing. Out of everyone's expectation, but cannot help.
Some galleries have moved out of 798 which has been a tourist attraction rather than a art district with hot global media exposure, since the rental goes so high and fast with the reputation. Some close down, and for those still open, most are cutting down the staff's salary.

I'm in the lucky list supposed to stay long, or a little longer till the end of the ongoing project. But I'm thinking a lot before any decision. How could a top gallery with 30 years history in Korea decline so quickly? How could we give up so easily? Can't we do something to survive?
Things change so fast. I just rent a new appartment at the end of November. It is expensive, but near to the gallery. But it means nothing to me if the gallery is gonna close down, even a burden.

It makes me think of my lovely puppy which I adopted via internet on Nov. 29th. She is eight months old, and she has a pretty name "Xiao Xiong" which means "little bear". Her master is a young man who graduated last year, hopping his jobs quickly and often working overnight as a designer. He cannot take care of her and offer her a happy life, so he has to find a new family for the poor puppy.

Now I' m the family for Xiao Xiong. I feel more responsible and sweet to spend life together with her. I would never give her up in any case.

God bless us to overcome this gloomy period.
